This week I've been a bit busy doing other things, and a bit lazy too. But I didn't want to skip a Monday. So, instead of a long written post, here's a photopost.

Sono stata in altre faccende affaccendata, questa settimana, e anche un pelo pigra. Ma non volevo assolutamente saltare un lunedì. Così, questa volta lascio parlare le immagini.
Since I first came in Reading on Easter holidays, just after MyFairEngineer relocated, I've been taking a lot of pictures of this little city in Berkshire, 36 miles west from London, in the middle of the Thames Valley. That's not a tourist location, but it's lovely, with a lot of parks, canals and the river. And a pirates' boat (I swear!). Very English!

Fin dalla prima volta che sono venuta a Reading a Pasqua, subito dopo il trasferimento dell'Ingegnere, ho fatto un sacco di foto in questa piccola città del Berkshire, una cinquantina di chilometri da Londra, nel cuore della valle del Tamigi. Non è una località turistica, ma è veramente carina, con molti parchi, canali e il fiume. E la nave dei pirati (giuro!). Molto inglese!
On the Thames, we've soon discovered our favourite tea room, Whittingthon's. It's a typical English canal barge where you can enjoy tea, coffee and freshly home made cakes. And owners are friendly and kind. Love it!

Sul Tamigi abbiamo subito scoperto la nostra sala da tè preferita, Whittington's. Si tratta di una tipica imbarcazione fluviale inglese dove servono tè, caffè e meravigliose torte fatte in casa. E i proprietari sono semplicemente fantastici e simpatici. Adoro questo posto!
Love this place too (there's one also in London). I like the industrial and shabby chic decoration. Besides, they serve really tasteful breakfasts. Here in Reading Bill's is just behind St. Mary's Butts church, in front of old gravestones covered by ivy.

Adoro anche questo posto (ce n'è uno anche a Londra). Mi piace il suo stile industriale e shabby chic. Oltre alle deliziose colazioni. Qui a Reading Bill's è proprio dietro la chiesa di St. Mary's Butts, di fronte a vecchie tombe coperte di edera.
And even if it's not Covent Garden, every weekend there are buskers and various artists performing down the streets. Yeah, I like this city.

E anche se non è Covent Garden, non c'è fine settimana senza qualche artista di strada che si esibisca per le vie del centro. Sì. mi piace questa città.
