Lost in translation

As I wrote a couple of months ago, if it had been completely up to me, I would have rather move to France. No offence Brits, but I relate better with French people. They have better food, better accommodations (again, no offence!), they are almost as bad organised as Italians (which is a lot of points for Britain, to be honest) but, most of all, my relationship with French has been 

thriving and flourishing for many years of deep happiness. Can't tell the same about English.

Come scrissi qualche tempo fa, fosse dipeso esclusivamente dalla mia volontà mi sarei trasferita in Francia. Senza offesa per i Britannici, ma con i Francesi mi relaziono meglio. Hanno cibo migliore, case migliori (ancora, senza offesa, neh!), sono disorganizzati quasi quanto gli Italiani (e onestamente questa cosa fa guadagnare un sacco di punti agli Inglesi), ma soprattutto il mio rapporto con il francese è sempre stato florido e felice. Con l'inglese non è stata esattamente la stessa cosa.

Guys, I have a badge and I know how to use it! Yep, that's right, I've finally found a job. It took me nine months spent editing my CV many, many times, sending it to hundreds of recruiters and HRs, uploading it on dozens of websites and, eventually, a simple phone call from a recruiter I didn't even know has been enough. BTW, the recruiter who contacted me and got me the successful interview chose to change his job right after getting me mine. Should I think about that?

Gente, ho un badge e non ho paura di usarlo! Ebbene sì, finalmente ho trovato lavoro. Mi ci sono voluti nove mesi a modificare n volte il CV, spedirlo a centinaia di recruiter e aziende, caricarlo su dozzine di siti web e, alla fine, è bastata una sola telefonata da un recruiter che nemmeno conoscevo. Peraltro, il recruiter che mi ha contattato e fatto avere il colloquio fortunato ha scelto di cambiare lavoro appena dopo averlo trovato a me. Che, devo farmi qualche domanda?
