The other Ville Lumière

The ritual is always the same. Arrival, luggage abandoned somewhere and quickly heading to the old city, where I'll have a crêpe à porter at some brasserie in rue Saint-Jean. I don't know whether they're the best in the city, most probably they are not, but the surroundings are so incredibly beautiful the taste of my crêpe au sucre never lets me down. This is how I've liked Lyon to welcome me for years. A constant renewal of love.

Lost in translation

As I wrote a couple of months ago, if it had been completely up to me, I would have rather move to France. No offence Brits, but I relate better with French people. They have better food, better accommodations (again, no offence!), they are almost as bad organised as Italians (which is a lot of points for Britain, to be honest) but, most of all, my relationship with French has been
thriving and flourishing for many years of deep happiness. Can't tell the same about English.

On the wrong side

Truth is: if it had been completely up to me, in this moment I would probably be in Lyon with my friend Julia, sitting outdoor in front of the Saône even if it were chilly, drinking Chardonnay, eating oysters and rolling my Rs. Because, let's be totally honest, I, Alessandra, would have moved to France rather than to England. No offence, British people, don't take it personally.
